Government Funded Childcare
All parents are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare for 3 and 4 year-olds.
Most working parents will also qualify for a total of 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged from 9 months through to 4 years-old. Eligibility criteria includes work requirements, salary, age of children and location.
Funding is only available for the school year (38 weeks), so at Phoenix Park Nursery in Nuthall we offer the option of stretched funding across 51 weeks of the year. This means that if you qualify for 15 hours of funded childcare, this becomes 11 hours per week, and if you qualify for 30 hours of funded childcare, this becomes 22 hours per week.
Most working parents will also be eligible for Tax Free Childcare support which can save you up to £2,000 per year.
Important:
In all instances, funded childcare is capped by the Local Authority at 10 hours per day.
